Help Pennsylvania Make a Difference NOW on Global Warming!

Take Action: Help Pennsylvania Make a Difference NOW on Global Warming
October 18, 2007
The time to act is now! Pennsylvania has a chance to become part of the solution to global warming rather than continuing to be a major part of the problem.

Pennsylvania alone contributes one percent of the heat-trapping pollution that causes global warming, more than 105 developing nations combined. We are also third worst in the nation, behind only California and Texas, for production of greenhouse gases.

Fortunately, bipartisan legislation is coming up for votes in the Pennsylvania House and Senate next week. These global warming bills need YOUR support, so that we can turn the legislation into meaningful action.

TAKE ACTION! Please act now to contact your State Representative to VOTE YES on House Bill 110, the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Act, bipartisan legislation that creates a global warming strategy in Pennsylvania to protect our citizens’ health and our economy. Once you’ve taken action, you will be prompted to send a message to the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee in advance of their committee vote on Senate Bill 266, the Pennsylvania Global Warming Act (a nearly identical bill as HB 110).
